Parent-Child Assistance Program (PCAP) is an extension of the Fetal Alcohol & Drug Unit University of Washington Alcohol and Drug Abuse Institute Seattle, Washington (206) 543-7155 http://depts.washington.edu/pcapuw/ The Fetal Alcohol & Drug Unit has developed and implemented the Parent-Child Assistance Program (PCAP) in King, Pierce, Yakima, Spokane, Grant, Cowlitz, Skagit, Clallam, Kitsap, Clark, Grays Harbor, Thurston/Mason, Whatcom, Snohomish and Benton/Franklin counties.
For over 20 years, PCAP has demonstrated its effectiveness in improving the lives of the families it serves and reducing costs to communities by helping women develop healthy, independent lives. PCAP is an evidence based, award-winning intensive case management model, providing three-year intervention to high-risk pregnant and parenting mothers with alcohol and/or drug abuse disorders.
Pacific Treatment Alternatives (PTA) is the host agency for the Snohomish County Parent Child Assistance Program (PCAP), formerly Safe Babies Safe Moms. PTA also hosts the ESTEEEM Emergency Shelter, FIRST Legal Clinic, Amerigroup Housing Program and The Aids Outreach/Syringe Exchange program.
